So I've been a bad blogger! Life has been so very busy and full of surprises. Since the last blog, Turner had a fun filled weekend with Grandma & Grandpa while John & I made a quick trip to Memphis for a dear friend's wedding. It was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. Amy and her new husband are so in love...it's so refreshing to see how God truly blesses you when you put him 1st in your life.
Now for the big news......after much prayer and a "few" signs from up above, John, Turner and I have started the adoption process again!!! We are so excited to begin this journey.
It has been heavy on our hearts for the past few months, but we have been ignoring the signs and making excuses as "Why we weren't ready"...Turner isn't old enough, we didn't have all the money saved up yet, the upstairs wasn't done, and my busy busy season with work is just now starting...but after much prayer we truly feel deep down in our heart and soul that now is the time. We must be obedient to our calling....
Lately, I have been blessed to share our adoption journey with several different groups-educating them about adoption, encouraging them to open their hearts not only to adoption but to consider adopting a child of another color.....Then it hit me like a ton of bricks...I was being a hypocrite. We were ready and able to adopt again, but I was letting Satan fill my heart mind with doubts and excuses....BIG GULP!
So as of Monday, we have turned in all of our paperwork as well as our Life book. The next step is scheduling a home study with our agency after our background checks come back. Then we will wait. It's so exciting to know God has something BIG in store for our family....we will just wait patiently for his blessings. So thank you in advance for all your prayers for our family and our future child. Please specifically start praying for the birth family that they will have peace with their decision. We have been abundantly blessed to have a wonderful relationship with Turner's birth mother and we can only hope and pray the same will be true for our 2nd child.
So now for the real reason you visit my blog...to see pictures of my little love bug!!
Turner has a new love for pickles!! A kid after my own heart...he eats a pickle while I drink pickle juice!

During our 1st adoption journey I found a song I could meditate to when my heart was heavy "Knees to the Earth" by Watermark...and this time around I have fallen in love with "While I'm Waiting" by John Waller. It is so important to remember that while we're waiting on God, it's not to just wait but to actively wait. Serve, worship and be faithful with what we have, where we are...even while we wait
I'm waiting
I'm waiting on You,Lord
And I am hopeful
I'm waiting on You, Lord
Though it is painful
But patiently,
I will wait
I will move ahead,
bold and confident
Taking every step in obedience
While I'm waiting
I will serve You
While I'm waiting
I will worship
While I'm waiting
I will not faint
I'll be running the race
Even while I wait
I'm waiting
I'm waiting on You, Lord
And I am peaceful
I'm waiting on You, Lord
Though it's not easy
But faithfully, I will wait
Yes, I will wait
I will serve You while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting
I will serve You while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting
I will serve You while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting on You, Lord
Psalms 37:7-8
Wait patiently for the Lord with confidence. Do not be angry, frustrated or fret.

I'm so excited for you guys!! Turner will be a great big brother, I can tell!
I can't imagine a more perfect song for the adoption wait. I found it, obviously, after we'd adopted Colt but still fell in love with it and have passed it on to many blog friends during their wait. It can be a long, frustrating wait but with God and prayer and encouragement...it all makes sense.
Can't wait to meet the new member of your family soon, and I will keep the birthfamily in my prayers. Congrats!
I'm in tears and they are HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY ones for sure!!!! I cant wait ot see you two in a few days. God will bless you again.
love you so much

Oh Chassidy!!! I am SO excited you all are doing this NOW! Isn't it amazing the things that adoption teaches you? I am continually amazed at how it stretches my faith and my dependence on God. I wouldn't trade that for the world, even when it doesn't go our way! I could never look back and say I would want it to go any different because He's always carried us through.
I cannot wait to see what God has in store for you all! Give Turner kisses from us!
Turner melts my heart!!! We are praying for you all and can't wait to follow your journey again!!!
Yeah!!! I can't wait to meet the new family member God has for you!!
Thank you for sharing your heart. Waiting is something we all do in some form and definitely something I struggle with. Your beautiful words were a wonderful reminder to praise God even while we wait!
Love you!!

Chass,
I am excited for you and your family. I absolutely love that song as well and hold it dear to my heart. I will pray for yall during this time of waiting and being patient for what the Lord brings. I think about you often and am sad of how bad I have been of keeping in touch with you. Talk to you soon.
