Sleeping Beauty

A few weeks ago we had newborn pics taken by our favorite local photographer Brittany Stover. We absolutely adore her- she captures the sweetest moments. Here is a sneak peak of the photo shoot
This was the tiniest basket...I couldn't believe she fit in it!

Sassy little Lydia

Turner was cracking us up at the photo shoot... I have now (after much stress) come to the fact that we won't get a good family picture or one of Turner and Lydia until this little wild man is older! He was not enjoying pictures at all :) So him and daddy left early!

Those kissable lips

Lydia was such a good customer She had a full belly and slept most of the time! It was so funny how Brittany would position her and she wouldn't wake up!

I absolutely LOVE this one. This mommy is so in love with our little miracle girl.
We are anxious to see the rest! If they are anything like these, we'll be in big trouble!
Speaking of photoshoots, I'm so excited for next Tuesday. 1st of all we are missing "K" and the kids like crazy so we are going to visit! Lydia and I are headed to Tulsa to have family pictures made with "K" and the kids. Her brother is a photographer in T-town and it taking them for us...our Christmas present to "K" I've had a blast shopping for all the kiddos. They are wearing red, black, and grey! The girls will be super sassy with their tutus and bows and the boys have the cutest plaid shirts! It's going to be awesome!! And something Lydia will cherish for all the days of her life!
I'm sure I won't post until after Christmas so have a very Merry Christmas. We have so much to be thankful for!

Lydia is one month today!

It's so neat to think about this special day when our little Lydia was born.
Lydia- we are so in love with you and just like with Turner, we are in awe that God chose us to be your forever parents. We have been praying for a long time for you.

At a month Miss Lydia is still a good sleeper only waking up once a night! She's a little piggy who likes her formula and is much more alert with each day. She is beginning to follow our voices with her big brown eyes. She loves to be snuggled in a blankie and really likes when her big brother sings her "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star." She still has a head full of thick black hair -verdict is out whether or not it will be straight or curly!

We love you sweet girl!

belated birthday, baby dedication and much much more!

Be still oh heart! I have to stop sometimes and make sure this is not all a dream that I'm living! Wow I am often left speechless when thinking about the past 6 months...it all makes perfect sense now. Thank you Jesus for unanswered prayers and having the perfect plan for our family. All the tears, heart ache, and desperate cries were well worth it to be blessed with Lydia Kaye.
On Sunday we dedicated Lydia to Christ at our church with all of our friends and family. What a special occasion to share with the ones we love.
Last weekend Jordan aka "JJ" spent the weekend with us to help celebrate John's birthday. Turner has been missing "his JJ". As always it is such a blessing to have Jordan for the weekend...it's remarkable what a 6 almost 7 year old teaches me month after month. I love this little boy dearly and am humbled and grateful "C" lets us spend time with him when ever we want. It's so special to see how much these 2 boys love one another!
Happy belated 40th birthday to the most amazing, loving, caring and wonderful husband and daddy in the entire world! We had so much fun celebrating~

Last weekend our agency also hosted their annual Christmas Party for all the adoptive families. It was so nice to see old & new friends we have made during our adoption journey. I am more than ever thankful for Deaconess for bringing so much joy to our lives!
~ I think red is Lydia's color~

Turner got to decorate his own Christmas tree this year. In true Turner fashion he picked out a truck and sport theme. He was so proud of his tree! We decorated Lydia's with barbies!
Cheese!!!
Turner wanted his own "bow" like sissy.
When Jordan 1st starting spending the weekends with us he was scared to death of Lexus and Mercy....well now not so much! As a matter of fact every time we talk on the phone he ask if "the sissys" miss him :)
Loving being a family of four!

Thanksgiving 2010

Lydia's arrival could not come at a more perfect season...Thanksgiving. Wow-We have so much to be thankful for! We had the blessing of having everyone over to our house this year for Thanksgiving. It was a blast....such great food & fellowship with family and friends! Here are the highlights from Thanksgiving week:

Uncle Heath, Aunt Kelley and Reese stopped by on their way to Tulsa to meet the newest Satterfield! Reese and Turner had so much fun playing and chasing each other around the house!

Turner kicked of his "Thanksgiving diet" eating pickles. Yes at 26 months his favorite snack is pickles!

Then he gave us a little fashion show....nothing beats a cute boy in his boots!

My sweet friend Rachel and baby Shayne who is a month older than Lydia came by and brought us a yummy yummy dinner! These two girls I have a feeling are going to be best buddies!

Nothings better than kissing a babies feet!

So tiny. At 3 weeks old today, Miss Lydia is weighing in at 8 lbs and 8 oz. She a growing little girl

I love this little guy :) Turner is so funny these days...and he knows it :)

This is the best shot of Lolly & Pops and the kids :) Guess that's what happens when you have a rowdy 2 year old!

Once again we were extra thankful Grandma Rose was able to spend Thanksgiving with us.

Since Grams isn't able to help much in the kitchen, she was the official "snuggler" with Lydia. By the look of it, I think they were both in heaven!

Whew!! Just relaxing after Thanksgiving meal

This was my dress when I was a little girl :)

Aunt CC, E, and Lydia chilling by the fireplace

Turner doesn't know what to think about all of sissy's bows :) So he had to try one out for curiosity sake

Some serious conversation going on with Grams

Just the girls and Turner bears!

Lolly's in love

Turner was such a big help with Thanksgiving lunch....making green bean casserole with Aunt CC was his favorite!

We are absolutely having a ball being a family of 4. We had an exciting weekend that I'll post more about later...just had to get all the Thanksgiving pics posted.
